Cut Western Aid to Rwanda

Oliver Courtney, from Global Witness, speaks on the need to put pressure on US and British allies Rwanda and Uganda by withholding aid due to their destabilization of Congo.

Global Witness is an international NGO established in 1993 that works to break the links between natural resource exploitation, conflict, poverty, corruption, and human rights abuses worldwide. The organisation has offices in London and Washington, D.C. In 2003 it was co-nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for its work on conflict diamonds.

The US and the Uk are responsible of what is happening in DRC, and we the congoleses, we know that we shouldn’t expectet that the UN will do any good to the DRC, all we have got now is our eyes to cry.

The congolses people, especially those who live in Europe are very frustrated about it. What happened in Manchester (UK), a fight between the congolese and the rwandan community, after a football match, the congolses took the opportunity to beat up a rwandan referee. So, it means that the congo=rwanda conflict could be exported everywhere in the world. In that case I think the UK will take the matter seriously, and give back justice to the congolese
